Message Just got back from my weekend at Mosport so I thought I'd share a few pics.

But first a question: Occasionally at the track I have a slight hesitation at full throttle. I have only been able to duplicate this once on the street. Over the past couple of months I done all the usual hesitation checks (plugs, vacuum lines, connections, etc). At the track this time, Inoticed it didn't happen when I had a full tank of gas but it did when I was about 1/3 empty. How/where is the fuel tank pickup? I'm thinking the gas is sloshing around and it's not getting picked up. Anyone ever have this happen? Any thoughts?

Anyway Mosport is an awesome track! Awesome elevation changes, and the turn sequence of 4, 5a, 5b and 6 is the coolest I've seen yet! 4 is a sharp left hander taken at about 80mph or so, followed by a steep downhill, which bottoms out very briefly and then a steep uphill, with a double apex turn 5 right-hander where you need to downshift into second in the middle of the turn (a little power-on oversteer helps too), and then blast out into a 3/4 mile uphill straightaway. So sweet!

Anyway here's a pic of me getting ready for a run:

Couple shots on the front straight:

Sorry, but I didn't get too many track shots, I didn't have much free time. That Ferrari F355 in the pics above was SOOOO sick! I never got a chance to really look at it but I don't think it was stock ;)

If you've ever wondered how the hell you can drive to a track for the weeked and race with the Z, here's how:

I have some pretty cool in-car videos I took, unfortunately they are 8mm and I don't know how to get them on the net just yet...
I got stuck in a boring run group with only 10 cars or so, which was cool cuz there was a lot of room but little passing. Some idiot in a worked-over Sentra tried to pass me without a point-by when *I* was waiting for a point-by from the car in front of me; when I finally got it, I almost collided with the Sentra which was now next to me when it shouldn't have been. Later that session we had a red flag and that same idiot starts to pass me when I'm pulling over and again, a near miss. Sheesh. At least he apologized after the session altho his excuses were a little shady =)

It rained during the warm-up session and I was thinking, damn this day is shot, I'm not gonna have much fun (the track was VERY slippery and 2 open track cars crashed right off the bat, and M3 and a Z3). But it cleared up for the faster afternoon sessions so it was all good. If you ever get a chance, go take a school there. Very cool.
